Position Overview:
Carlson Software is seeking an experienced Electronic Repair Technician to perform troubleshooting, repair, and testing of electronic products, especially within our new generation of GPS equipment for the surveying and machine control industries.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair electronics in high-end GPS systems
Perform testing and validation of assembled products according to quality control procedures
Identify root causes of product faults and communicate findings to the manufacturing and product development teams
Participate in and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications and Experience:
Associate’s degree preferred; Electrical Engineering Technology background is a plus
5+ years of hands-on experience in electronic troubleshooting and repair
Experience with PCB rework, including surface mount and fine-pitch components
Ability to read electronic schematics and apply circuit theory
Skilled in the use of oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal analyzers, and similar diagnostic tools
Understanding of RF concepts and antennas is an advantage
Soldering certification is a plus, but not required

Work Schedule:
37 hours per week
Monday – Thursday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
