We're hiring on behalf of a client.

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Process Engineer to join our team. As a process engineer, you will play a crucial role in improving and optimizing our manufacturing processes specifically for the Post Cast processes (e.g. mold knock-out, abrasive cutting, rough finishing, sand blasting, etc.). You will be responsible for analyzing current processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing value-added solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process engineering principles and a passion for continuous improvement.

**This position is on-site and the ideal candidate will reside in La Porte, IN. Relocation assistance is provided.**

Responsibilities:

Monitor key variables of the manufacturing sub-processes (e.g. knock-out, cutting, grinding, and cleaning) to determine process stability

Conduct detailed analyses of existing manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improvement

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvement initiatives

Design and evaluate experiments to optimize process parameters and improve product quality

Develop and maintain standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and compliance

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track process performance and identify potential issues

Investigate and troubleshoot process deviations or failures, implementing corrective actions as necessary

Actively participate in project teams to provide process engineering expertise and support

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering

At least 5+ years of experience in process engineering, preferably in the processing of castings or other metallic products, or foundry.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Proficiency in process simulation tools and statistical analysis software

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles and methodologies

Familiarity with industry regulations and standards related to process engineering

Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously
