Position Overview:
Carlson Software is seeking a qualified Electronic Assembly Technician to support the production and testing of our latest GPS systems. This role focuses on the hands-on assembly and validation of electronic and mechanical components that power our advanced surveying and machine control technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform electronic and mechanical assembly of GPS products
Conduct product testing and validation in accordance with quality control procedures
Read and interpret assembly drawings accurately
Apply established techniques and tools to ensure precise soldering and mechanical assembly
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and suggest enhancements to processes or designs
Qualifications and Experience:
Associate’s degree preferred; background in Electrical Engineering Technology is beneficial
3+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing
Familiarity with electronics quality control standards, including IPC standards
Soldering certification is a plus, but not required
Skills and Attributes:
Excellent manual dexterity and precision handling of small components
Strong attention to detail and focus on quality
Ability to follow complex assembly instructions
Sense of ownership and accountability
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Willingness to learn and adapt
Work Schedule:
37 hours per week
Monday – Thursday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
