Position Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the development of commercial display units. This role involves managing the full product lifecycle—from initial concept to production release—while ensuring design integrity, functionality, and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage new product development initiatives of varying complexity across all phases of engineering.
Independently drive projects from initial concept through final production with minimal oversight.
Utilize advanced 3D sheet metal design techniques to create efficient, manufacturable product solutions.
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to define and refine product specifications based on market needs.
Guide vendor selection processes and support agency certification and regulatory approval efforts.
Oversee prototype builds and coordinate with production teams for seamless product rollouts.
Manage and support performance testing to confirm products meet internal quality and external compliance standards.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) required.
A minimum of 10 years of relevant design engineering experience, preferably within product manufacturing or commercial equipment industries.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling; experience with Solid Edge is strongly preferred.
Strong background in sheet metal design, with a deep understanding of materials and manufacturing processes.
Core Competencies:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a data-driven mindset.
Able to interpret technical documents and translate concepts into practical engineering solutions.
Skilled in statistical methods, geometry, and trigonometry for application in design and performance analysis.
Effective communicator—capable of working collaboratively across departments and presenting ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
