3+ years of experience as an instructor/educator

1+ years of experience in urban agriculture or controlled-environment agriculture design/development

Demonstrated track record of education and/or farm system development/maintenance

Available to work 15-20/hrs per week

Nice To Have Skills and Experience:

Curriculum development

Experience in hydroponic, aquaponic, or aeroponic farm systems preferred

Bilingual in Spanish

Insight Global is seeking an Agriculture Coordinator to join a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting sustainable and accessible food systems through education, job training, and community engagement. In this position, the Agriculture Coordinator will educate young adults on sustainable agriculture methods (hydroponics, aquaponics, aeroponics). You will focus on hands-on job training and educational courses both remote and in-person. Your tasks will include leading student-facing activities related to agriculture training, farm design, curriculum development, farm development, and remote instruction.

Key Responsibilities:

Facilitate Agriculture Classes (50%): Conduct in-person and remote classes for youth participants (high school students, young adult job seekers, interns, and externs).

Program Site Assessments and Farm Development (20%): Lead assessments, design, build, and maintenance for organization’s and partner farm sites.

Curriculum Development (20%): Update core curriculum for youth participants and workshop components.

Planning and Resource Curation (5%): Assist in planning, implementation, and resource curation for youth programs.

Professional Development (5%): Pursue relevant activities to strengthen core competencies and job activities.

Pay Rate: $20 - $23/hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
