Job Summary

As the Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be relied upon to lead implementation, and maintenance of infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platform. You will be working with the DevOps team to ensure system performance, reliability, security, and availability of the company's development, quality assurance, and production infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Build required infrastructure to support Quicken’s growing enterprise cloud offerings. Work with developers to understand how to right size the infrastructure/network with Quicken’s microservices for Product and Pre-Production environments on AWS.

Utilize proven skills and knowledge to provide troubleshooting and timely resolution of application, performance, systems, and infrastructure incidents.

Routine Sys Admin and DB Admin duties to support a lively and fast paced group with agile release.

Manage and operate build and release CI /CD process.

Run and optimize Data Warehouse systems that deliver business intelligence and customer insight.

Participate in 24x7 on-call incident escalation rotations, and drive root cause analysis of major issues.

Maintain and extend strong relationships across globally distributed product management, product development, DevOps, and IT teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or equivalent knowledge and experience.

Good understanding of current DevOps technology trends in the SaaS industry.

4+ year’s systems administration experience managing enterprise Unix/Linux environments. Strong core Linux OS skills, shell scripting, python scripting.

3+ years in a 24x7 production operations role supporting large scale, highly available applications.

3+ years’ experience with AWS platform. Expertise in building highly secure cloud services and cloud infrastructure using AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, ECS, Route53).

Expertise in using cloud automation and DevOps tools such as Docker, Terraform, and Ansible. Jenkins and Git are required.

Experience in monitoring and analytics tools such as Datadog and Splunk.

Good knowledge of web application stack and associated technology such as Nginx and PHP.

Strong understanding of Networking concept of TCP/IP, DNS, Certs, Subnets, and VPC.

Database, MySQL administration skills is a plus.

Excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to communicate clearly, succinctly, and persuasively.

Quicken is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The actual salary offered is determined by factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to years and depth of experience, relevant skills, and work location. This position's expected base pay range is $155,000 - $167,000.
