Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in a manufacturing or product development environment
Technical Skills:
Intermediate capabilities in circuit simulation using SPICE and/or LTspice
Intermediate capabilities in Altium and Mentor Graphics Expedition for schematic capture and editing
Knowledgeable in:
Analog, digital, power, and high-speed circuits
Skilled in using oscilloscopes, logic and spectrum analyzers for the purpose of troubleshooting electronic hardware
Common aircraft electronic equipment interfaces; ARINC 429, CSDB, RS232, RS422, I2C, SPI, UART, Ethernet
Parameters specified in electronic component datasheets
Identifying replacement components for existing hardware designs
Reading schematics for the purpose of understanding an electronic system, how it operates, and troubleshoot problematic operation
Hardware implementation of processors and FPGAs
Proficiency in Microsoft tools suite; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio
Preferred Skills:
Complement electrical design work with software tasks to create functional design capabilities. Python, C, or C++ working knowledge desirable
Knowledgeable in IPC standards: J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610
Basic knowledge of Printed Circuit Board design/layout
Component symbol and library creation/editing in Altium
Fundamental knowledge of RF electronics
Understanding how to use AI
