Our client is currently seeking a GNC Program Director to support the development of systems required for the design and construction of human-rated, artificial gravity space stations.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with leadership to define goals, objectives, and performance metrics for the GNC team in support of ongoing missions
Lead requirements gathering and systems engineering efforts for the GNC team in support of mission objectives
Work closely with mission assurance to define GNC’s contributions and assess metrics for validation and verification events
Implement principles of change, risk, and resource management
Manage schedules and allocate resources in support of ongoing missions
Provide detailed status updates to leadership and the executive team
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline
8+ years of engineering experience in the space industry
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Master’s Degree or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering or a related field
Proficiency in navigating various computer software programs
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
Ability to make independent decisions with limited information
Excellent communication skills for conveying data (verbally and in writing) to colleagues, vendors, and customers
Logical and strategic problem-solving abilities
Ability to work in a high-stress environment, manage multiple projects, and adapt to sudden shifts in strategic direction
Additional Requirements:
Willingness to work evenings and/or weekends to support critical mission milestones
