Job Responsibilities:
Develop PLC, HMI and robot programs for new system requirements using multiple brands of controls hardware and various software languages (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Fanuc, Kuka, ABB, Denso)
Collaborate with our hardware controls engineers on component selection and design
Collaborate with our mechanical engineers on solution design using robot simulation tools
Test electromechanical devices of the assembled system
Verify software functions and validate overall system operation
Support field service personnel
Manage tasks and project deliverables in accordance with project schedule
Drive continuous improvement in software development and testing to exceed customer specifications
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):
Proficiency with PLC, HMI and robot programming for industrial automation equipment.
Experience with information systems as applied to industrial automation equipment.
Experience with automation components e.g., sensors, pneumatics, vision systems
Proficiency with networking communications e.g., EtherNet/IP, ProfiNet
Ability to collaborate with other engineers and disciplines to communicate technical information and effectively contribute to meetings, discussions and brainstorming sessions
Strong electromechanical aptitude
Must be able to work productively within a team environment
Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
Must have strong written and oral communication skills
Proven ability to efficiently manage time and prioritize multiple tasks.
