Position:
Assistant Controller in Glenmont/Albany, NY. The successful candidate will be an important member of the accounting team and will report directly to the Controller.
Responsibilities Include:
Full general ledger support of the Controller
Perform balance sheet account reconciliations including bank accounts and debt accounts
Administer subcontract agreements including payments
Support month end close process
Oversee various audits including union and insurance audits
Collaborate with all members of the accounting department
Act as a backup for payroll and accounts payable processing
Coordinate with independent outside accounting firm
Help improve workflow efficiency
Ideal Candidate:
Positive attitude
Degree in accounting or finance
CPA license is a plus
3+ years of accounting experience
Construction experience is ideal
Sage 300 experience is a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Aptitude for software applications
Attention to detail
Compensation/Benefits:
Compensation: $60,000/year - $80,000/year
