Mission:
To perform a vital role in designing and developing systems for manufacturing operations including design layout, materials and information flow, and machine placement.
Supporting and monitoring production efficiency by evaluating performance and proposing/implementing improvements.
Key Job Responsibilities
Research, design, develop and optimize/upgrade industrial processes
Prepare cost estimates and install control systems to maximize use of equipment
Provide quality plans, drawings, and process flow diagrams
PLC programming proficiency (Rockwell Automation Logix 500, 5000), Siemens TIA Portal experience a plus
Facilitate projects driven by engineering process implementation and support project launches
HMI programming AB FactoryTalk View & Siemens WinCC
Conduct and participate in continuous improvement training on process equipment control systems
Assist maintenance technicians in equipment operation and troubleshooting including waterjet programming
Responsible of Equipment Configuration for Industrial Network Protocols including Ethernet, Devicente, Profibus, ControlNet, DH+, etc.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
Experience with computer software, process control engineering, and/or manufacturing and/or automotive equipment, preferred but not required
Ability to maintain excellent leadership, collaboration, and confidential communication with both internal and external contacts
Familiarity with IATF 16949 and QOS compliance standards
Possess starting basis knowledge for thorough PFMEA development
Knowledge of basic commands in waterjet programming, or other similar cutting methods, a plus
PLC programming proficiency (Rockwell Automation Logix 500, 5000), Siemens TIA Portal experience a plus
HMI programming AB FactoryTalk View & Siemens WinCC
Industrial electrical and controls troubleshooting
Knowledge of Industrial Network Protocols including Ethernet, Devicenet, Profibus, Controlnet, DH+, etc.
Knowledge of common controls components including VFD’s (AB PowerFlex and Kinetix), safety devices, vision systems, etc.
Process controls experience in processing manufacturing environment
Must thrive in a fast paced, aggressive, results oriented culture
Superior team building and ability to communicate technical and business information effectively
Work with others to detect problems and implement solutions.
Installation & commissioning of new systems
Maintain quality and safety standards are upheld.
Able to read, interpret, and create electrical schematics and manufacturing drawings.
Capable of working on multiple projects at once.
Strong problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
Able to deliver results in both supervised and unsupervised environments.
Good verbal and written communications skills in English.
SAP experience a plus.
