Senior DevOps/Cloud Engineer

Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a Senior DevOps/Cloud Engineer to join their team! This position is located in Denver, Colorado.

Duties:

Design, develop, and maintain infrastructure as code solutions, with a strong preference for Terraform

Administer and manage AWS or other enterprise cloud provider infrastructure accounts

Build, monitor, and troubleshoot complex issues within the EMR framework

Work extensively with big data technologies such as Hive and Spark

Implement strategies to optimize spot fleet utilization and reduce cloud costs

Apply and enforce least privilege control models across cloud resources

Design and implement Lambda functions and Kinesis Firehose data streams

Utilize ticketing systems like JIRA for issue tracking and management

Leverage GitLab for CI/CD pipeline development and merge request processes

Desired Skills/Experience:

Advanced proficiency in Python or Java

Advanced experience with Infrastructure as Code with a strong preference for Terraform

Proven experience as an administrator for AWS or other enterprise cloud provider infrastructure accounts

Strong understanding of customer service principles and the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders

Demonstrated ability to build and review complex issues within the EMR framework

Solid experience with Hive and Spark

Experience in Lambda design and implementation

Proficiency in using GitLab for CI/CD and merge request workflows

Salary range based on years of experience/skills, starting at $140,000+.
