Our client is a successful A&E firm, and they are currently searching for an experienced and licensed Director to lead the civil and structural engineering department. This is a full-time/direct hire opening. Our client has been around since the late 1940’s and has never had a layoff. The average associate tenure is more than 10 years. There are several employees who started their career as a co-op and reached retirement, all with our client.

The current opening is for a Director of Civil Engineering. Main duties include:Manage and lead the civil and structural engineering department

Drive employee development through coaching, mentoring, and training

Lead civil/structural engineering projects across the United States and Canada

Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations

Act as subject matter expert for all structural engineering systems

Qualifications include:B.S. in Civil or Architectural Engineering

Past work experience must have an emphasis on Structures

P.E. license required

Minimum of 10+ years of experience in structural design and analysis

Ability to manage and lead a team, oversee and effectively lead the department

Experience working with structural steel, concrete, masonry, cold-formed metal framing, deep foundations

Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
