Position Title: Senior Electrical Engineer
Position Reports to: Vice President, Hardware Engineering
Brief Description of Position
The Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for electrical chassis and system design including: AC/DC power distribution, motion system, control panel, cables, interconnections, and system design, documentation, testing, and integration. The Senior Electrical Engineer will primarily design, document, develop, and test electrical systems for precision radar tracking and radar cross section (RCS) measurement systems.
Duties / Responsibilities
Designs electrical subsystems and shares overall system functional responsibility.
Develops and tests radar motion and motion control systems.
Develops system, chassis and component schematics.
Creates system design and production documentation for RF chassis, electromechanical chassis and system interconnection.
Performs testing and troubleshooting of PC boards and RF subsystems.
Other Duties as Required
Required Education:
Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronic Engineering.
Required Experience:
Minimum 5 years professional experience.
Must be organized and highly self-motivated.
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio).
Experience with laboratory test equipment (e.g. oscilloscope, DMM).
Preferred Qualifications:
CAD/Drafting tool experience, schematic capture
Experience with AC/DC power distribution.
Experience with RF/Microwave devices, cabling and interconnection.
Experience with electrical and RF test equipment such as oscilloscopes, network analyzers or spectrum analyzers.
Experience with motion control, motors, PLC programming, serial communication hardware/protocols.
Experience with configuration control: part numbering, Engineering Change Notices (ECN), and Bill Of Material (BOM).
UL, CSA, CE power safety standards.
Travel Requirements
