Penn Color is seeking an HR Business Partner

As an HR Business Partner at Penn Color, you will provide HR generalist support to a production operations team of hourly employees and business leaders. This role offers a dynamic opportunity to engage in both tactical and strategic initiatives within an environment that promotes independent initiative as well as collaborative teamwork. You will partner with business leaders to drive HR initiatives focused on internal customer service, employee onboarding, talent management, performance management, and employee engagement.

To succeed in this role, you must understand business goals and prioritize them through high-impact HR work. You will influence teams and business leaders by offering HR expertise, sound judgment, and data-driven recommendations that enhance the employee experience and contribute to overall business performance.

This position is on site 5 days a week and reports to the Director of Human Resources at our corporate headquarters in Hatfield, PA.

Main Responsibilities:

Functions as an advisor to line management regarding the application of employment laws and HR policies to specific business decisions; respond to employee questions/inquiries about various HR policies, and procedures.

Conduct employee relations counseling, assist in developing performance improvement plans and coach managers as appropriate. Investigate employee complaints and allegations.

Conduct exit interviews, analyze data and make recommendations for corrective action and continuous improvement.

Maintain employee handbook, policies, and procedures manual.

Assist in administration of performance evaluation program.

Supports and coordinates employee events, recognition programs, awards, activities, etc.

Researches and develops training solutions for workforce development.

Provide additional support in recruiting and interviewing of candidates, when necessary.

Maintains employee information and electronic personnel files and position descriptions.

Co-Manage the annual benefit open enrollment process.

Answer routine employee questions and inquiries related to wellness, benefits, and payroll; as well as manage all FMLA, STD, ADA and Worker’s Compensation cases.

Compensation planning for non-exempt.

Work with EHS on OHSA and Workers compensation claims.

Participate in company-wide programs and initiatives (e.g., Compensation Planning review, workforce planning, talent Reviews / Succession Planning, organizational change, etc)

Required Skills/Abilities:

Extensive knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws and human resource practices in the functional areas of compensation; benefits; employment/staffing; HRIS; training and development

Ability to develop and interpret complex data; interact with all levels of management; possess leadership qualities, ability to form and maintain strong relationships across many organizations, strong initiative and

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in HR database and reporting, Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint; presentation skills; consulting and problem solving; data driven; excellent analytical skills.

Key skills and abilities include coaching, influencing, facilitation, presentation, communication, process development, analysis and problem solving. Employees whose specific responsibility is organizational development, report to Organizational Development.

Demonstrated ability to read, write, and speak English; strong preference for candidates with an ability to speak Spanish

Education and Experience:

BS Degree in HR or HR certificate REQUIRED

4+ years of human resources experience

Experience in a manufacturing environment

Proficiency with Workday or similar HRIS

Human Resources experience with companies supporting 200 or more associates

Demonstrates proficiency in human resources operations, policies, processes and procedures.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
