Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Network Engineer specializing in testing, preferably with a background in Satellite Communications (SatCom). In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test plans to ensure the quality of our CNX (Customer Network Exchange) products. CNX is a critical component that provides power and data connectivity between the satellite antenna and the customer's equipment and networks. You will play a critical role in validating CNX functionality and identifying potential issues before deployment.
Responsibilities:
Work with the development team and customers to come up with the CONOPS for CNX systems as applicable.
Translate product requirements and key features into test plans and detailed test procedures.
Set up test equipment and execute test cases across various test phases including but not limited to system integration, and engineering field testing.
Interface with partners and customers to understand the field issues and incorporate the feedback into the test cycles.
Interface with CNX vendor (s) as primary POC from SIT (System Integration Test team) perspective.
Write automated scripts that can be used for new build regression testing of CNX system.
Troubleshoot complex technical issues in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
Track and manage defects using bug tracking systems.
Collaborate with network engineers, SatCom engineers, and developers to resolve testing issues.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide test status and results.
Perform testing of the Antenna User Terminal during development and Engineering Field Testing (EFT) phases in addition to CNX.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and external development partners.
Qualifications:
Experience
Bachelor's Degree and seven (7+) years of experience, or Master’s Degree and five (5+) years of experience
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of network protocols and SatCom principles.
Experience with network testing tools (e.g., Iperf, Wireshark, Spirent, IXIA).
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl, Bash).
Experience with test automation frameworks.
Familiarity with network monitoring and analysis tools.
Soft Skills:

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to generate clear and concise documentation.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on computers.
