Our Client is a FinTech company that is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join their growing team in Dallas, TX. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work on exciting data initiatives within the financial services sector, with a strong emphasis on Snowflake expertise and scalable data solutions.
About the Role:
As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining robust data pipelines and solutions that support critical business functions. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and has hands-on experience in modern data platforms - especially Snowflake.
Day to day tasks:
Design and implement scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
Work closely with stakeholders to gather data requirements and develop data models.
Optimize data warehouse performance using Snowflake best practices.
Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including analysts, data scientists, and product teams.
Required Experience:
5+ years of experience as a professional data engineer
Strong professional experience with Snowflake (data warehousing, performance tuning, security).
Proven background in financial services or related regulated industries.
Strong SQL skills and experience with data integration tools (e.g., dbt, Fivetran, or similar).
Knowledge of cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Pluses:
Experience with Python or other scripting languages.
Familiarity with data governance frameworks and tools.
Exposure to BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
