Aerospace Certification Engineer

Role Summary

We are looking for Certification Engineers with experience of minimum 3 yrs in furniture test plans and test reports. The successful candidates will work closely with the Lead Certification Engineer to ensure compliance with Part 25 non-TSO regulations, mini-suite exemptions, and interior compliance requirements for suite doors and EPF. This role focuses on ensuring safety and regulatory compliance for enclosed compartments, finger pinch prevention, and design for security.

Dimension of Function

The Certification Engineer will develop and review furniture test plans and reports, ensuring compliance with Part 25 non-TSO regulations and mini-suite exemptions. They will focus on safety concerns related to enclosed compartments, finger pinch, and design for security, collaborating with design and engineering teams. They will also assist the Lead Certification Engineer in liaising with regulatory authorities and contribute to the execution and documentation of certification projects.

Area of Responsibility

• Develop and review furniture test plans and test reports.

• Ensure compliance with Part 25 non-TSO regulations and mini-suite exemptions.

• Address interior compliance requirements for suite doors and EPF.

• Focus on safety concerns related to enclosed compartments, finger pinch, and design for security.

• Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure regulatory compliance.

• Assist the Lead Certification Engineer in liaising with regulatory authorities and certification bodies.

Knowledge / Experience

• Minimum - Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical/Aerospace/Structural Engineering or AME.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in certification engineering, with a focus on furniture testing.

• Knowledge of CS/FAR 25.853 standards for test plan & test report requirements.

• Understanding of interior compliance requirements as per CS/FAR 25 for suite doors and EPF.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Experience of Aerospace interior design & aircraft assembly line.

• Experience on Aerospace manufacturing processes and Industrial standard.

• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
