Senior Software Engineer (Java / TypeScript / AWS) - Hybrid 1-2x week in Seattle - Contract to Hire - W2

Optomi, in partnership with one of the largest entertainment companies in the world, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Event and Signals Platform team within the Services and Data Engineering organization. The Event and Signals Platform team's mission is to build highly available, high throughput services that are critical to delivering high quality familiarized experiences to our subscribers. Responsibilities:

Work with a distributed team of engineers building software in a collaborative development process

Build high-performance, stable, scalable systems to be deployed in an enterprise setting

Lead high-level architecture discussions and planning sessions

Provide mentoring and advice for other engineers

Requirements:

4+ years of experience delivering backend applications in a production environment

Expertise in Java, Reactive Spring, WebFlux, TypeScript

Experience building RESTful services

Understanding of async programming models (events, callbacks, promises, async/await) and threading/concurrency

Experience with build and deployment technologies such as Jenkins and Docker Experience working with AWS
