Solar Design Engineer

What will you do?

Collaborate with Engineers and Development Managers for project support in development, design, and cost estimation.

Gather and analyze key technical data, including site drawings, electricity load, and costs.

Review and validate Solar PV layouts, electrical diagrams, and perform energy modeling (PVsyst).

Support Procurement and EPC teams by preparing technical documents and coordinating engineering work.

Assist financial teams with Technical Due Diligence and manage interconnection applications if needed.

Conduct site visits, ensure compliance with safety standards, and maintain strong business relationships.

What do we need?

Education & Experience: BA/BS in Electrical Engineering (or similar) with 5+ years in Solar PV, Energy Storage, or related energy project development.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, PVsyst, and knowledge of NEC and relevant codes.

Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of renewable energy markets, project lifecycles, and utility interconnection processes.

Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects, work cross-functionally, and adapt to varying complexities.

Additional Qualifications: Professional certifications (PE, PMP, NABCEP, etc.) preferred; experience deploying Li-ion Energy Storage Systems.
