We are working with a next-generation AI-native cloud finance optimization platform that empowers businesses to control and reduce cloud costs through automation, intelligent insights, and machine learning. Their LLM-powered tools drive real-time visibility, cost-saving recommendations, and automated FinOps workflows.

The Role:

As the Founding ML Engineer, you will take the lead on building and optimizing cutting-edge ML systems—including foundational and fine-tuned LLMs—for financial modeling, anomaly detection, cost forecasting, and intelligent chat agents. You’ll work closely with backend engineers and leadership in a high-impact, product-focused environment.

Key responsibilities include:

Develop and deploy LLM-based applications for both internal tools and customer-facing products.

Lead end-to-end ML systems for cloud cost forecasting, anomaly detection, and financial risk modeling.

Contribute to and leverage foundational OSS LLM frameworks (e.g., Hugging Face, LangChain, LoRA).

Architect scalable data infrastructure to support AI/ML workflows and real-time insights.

Maintain cloud-based ML infrastructure using AWS, Terraform, and modern MLOps best practices.

Requirements:

Deep experience with LLMs (pretraining, fine-tuning, optimization, prompt engineering).

Major contributor to open-source projects in the LLM or ML ecosystem.

Strong Python skills and familiarity with ML/AI libraries such as PyTorch, Transformers, and LangChain.

Strong foundation in software engineering and data infrastructure.

Experience building and deploying ML products at scale (not just R&D or notebooks).

Proficiency with AWS, Terraform, SQL, and related tools.

Background in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related technical field.

Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth, founder-led environment.

The Benefits:

Base salary of $275,000 - $325,000 plus equity, 401k, health, dental, and vision benefits.
