Business Development Analyst - Hedge Fund

Position: Business Development Analyst

Role Overview: Our client, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Business Development (BD) Analyst to support the Senior Investment Officer in managing the sourcing, evaluation, and recruitment of investment professionals. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in business development within multi-manager environments or hedge fund allocations, with a particular emphasis on long/short equity strategies.

Core Responsibilities:

Lead the search and evaluation of candidates for long/short equity teams, as well as other investment teams across the firm. Provide thorough assessments and recommendations to Senior Investment Officers and other key stakeholders.

Work closely with internal teams across legal, operations, risk, technology, HR, and others to manage both urgent and strategic projects that drive business development forward.

Cultivate and maintain relationships with external contacts such as recruitment firms and financial institutions, ensuring a professional and positive representation of Jain Global.

Organize and oversee the BD team's systems, ensuring candidate profiles are accurately maintained, evaluations are logged, and reporting processes are streamlined. Create regular and ad-hoc reports for leadership.

Collaborate with the technology team to enhance the BD system, ensuring it meets the firm's needs and supports efficient workflows.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of experience in a relevant financial services role.

Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with PowerPoint is an added advantage.

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality, accurate work.

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and manage projects with senior-level internal teams.

Self-driven and energetic, with the ability to work independently and within a team.

A disciplined approach to optimizing operational processes and extracting meaningful insights from data.

Familiarity with business intelligence, reporting/visualization tools, and advanced Excel techniques (including pivot tables) is desirable. Coding experience is a plus.
