Solar O&M Technician – San Jose/Fremont, CA Area

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Solar O&M Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair existing solar ground mount and commercial rooftop systems in the San Jose/Fremont, CA area. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in Solar Operations & Maintenance (O&M) and the flexibility to travel as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct electrical and mechanical inspections, preventative maintenance, infrared (IR) scanning, torque checks, and assess overall site conditions.

Prepare detailed inspection and service reports following site visits, emergency repairs, equipment modifications, and troubleshooting activities.

Respond to system alarms and provide timely dispatch to address issues.

Collaborate with the Senior Technician and O&M team to ensure efficient resolution of maintenance tasks.

Maintain optimal site performance by ensuring systems operate at full power and efficiency.

Perform site conditioning and vegetation control to support operational needs.

Promote a safe work environment by strictly following company safety protocols and procedures.

Audit and enforce compliance with site-specific O&M standards and guidelines.

Conduct site/system assessments and perform Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) inspections.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in Solar Operations & Maintenance (O&M).

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in solar energy systems.

Ability to travel within the San Jose/Fremont, CA area as required.

Knowledge of electrical/mechanical systems and safety standards.

Commitment to maintaining site compliance and efficiency.
