Hardware Control Systems Engineer – Honeywell DCS

Contract to Hire

We’re hiring a Hardware Control Systems Engineer to support a key client in the industrial automation space. This role focuses on Honeywell DCS systems (Experion PKS) and requires someone with strong experience in hardware design, configuration, and troubleshooting for complex control environments.

What You’ll Do:

Configure and maintain Honeywell DCS hardware (Experion PKS, C300 controllers, I/O modules)

Support field instrumentation setup, wiring, and I/O integration

Troubleshoot control hardware issues and optimize performance

Collaborate with engineering and operations teams on system upgrades and commissioning

Maintain accurate documentation (loop diagrams, wiring schematics, etc.)

What We’re Looking For:

5+ years in control systems engineering

Strong experience with Honeywell DCS (Experion PKS required)

Knowledge of industrial protocols (HART, Modbus, Fieldbus)

Comfortable reading P&IDs, loop drawings, and panel schematics

Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills

Experience with safety systems (SIS, SIL-rated hardware)

Strong experience with PLCs or SCADA systems

Onsite commissioning and client-facing experience
