Engineering Analyst III
Summary
The Engineering Analyst serves as a data expert whose primary functions are applying data mining techniques to gather data from various sources (including geospatial, work management, technical records, drawings, and schematic datasets and sources), identifying patterns, trends, and anomalies within the data, drawing meaningful conclusions and insights from the analysis, and communicating them effectively to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
• Identify business problems through data analysis to develop solutions and recommendations.
• Clean, transform, and prepare data for analysis.
• Extract and compare data from multiple sources, including databases and repositories.
• Exercise proficiency in programming languages such as SQL and Python or R.
• Ensure the accuracy and quality of data and analysis through process quality methodology.
• Systematically evaluate information, identify patterns, draw conclusions, and make well-informed decisions.
• Present data in a clear and concise manner, using compelling data visualizations tools like Tableau or Power BI.
• Effectively communicate complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrate leadership in business analysis, including client interaction, process design, and requirements management.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Requirements
• Degree in Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics or either a.) a related technical discipline or equivalent, or b.) 5+ years of documented experience performing the responsibilities listed above.
• Demonstrated proficiency and/or certification in SQL and Python or R.
