The Data Engineer will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's data warehouse infrastructure. This role will contribute to efficient storage, retrieval, and analysis of data, enabling informed decision-making across our clients’ companies.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to understand data requirements and design efficient data warehouse solutions

Develop and maintain a robust data warehouse architecture that ensures scalability, performance, and data integrity

Design ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ingest data from various sources and APIs into the data warehouse

Design, implement, and optimize ETL workflows to transform raw data into usable formats for analysis

Ensure data quality and accuracy throughout the ETL process by implementing data validation and cleansing mechanisms

Monitor and tune the data warehouse performance to ensure optimal query execution and data retrieval times

Identify and resolve bottlenecks in the ETL pipelines and data warehouse infrastructure

Develop and maintain data models, including dimensional and star schemas, to support efficient querying and reporting

Collaborate with data analysts and business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into effective data structures

Implement security measures to protect sensitive data within the data warehouse

Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and industry standards

Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide necessary support

Document data warehouse processes, data dictionaries, and ETL workflows for knowledge sharing and future reference

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong experience with ETL tools and techniques for data integration

Solid understanding of data modeling concepts, including dimensional modeling and normalization

Familiarity with data security and compliance standards, as well as best practices for maintaining data privacy

Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation and data manipulation

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex data-related issues

Strong communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies is a plus

Experience with Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence a plus

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

Proven experience (5+ years) as a Data Warehouse Engineer or in a similar role

Proficiency in designing and implementing data warehouse solutions using technologies such as SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and cloud-based data warehousing services (e.g., Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, Snowflake)

Ability to travel to clients as needed
