Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Supply Chain Manager to oversee the sourcing, negotiation, and management of key commodities critical to our business operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies that optimize costs, ensure supply continuity, and maintain quality standards across suppliers and markets. The Supply Chain Manager will work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, finance, and quality assurance to drive value and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Commodity Strategy Development:

Analyze market trends, supply chain risks, and cost drivers.

Develop and implement comprehensive commodity strategies to reduce total cost of ownership.

Supplier Management:

Identify, qualify, and manage strategic suppliers.

Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and resolve quality or delivery issues.

Establish long-term supplier agreements where appropriate.

Sourcing & Negotiation:

Lead RFQs, contract negotiations, and cost reduction initiatives.

Ensure best value sourcing and negotiate favorable terms and conditions.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

Partner with engineering and manufacturing teams to forecast material needs and align procurement plans.

Collaborate with finance and legal departments to ensure compliance with company policies.

Risk Management:

Monitor supply risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Stay current on geopolitical, environmental, and economic factors affecting commodity markets.

Data & Reporting:

Track KPIs such as cost savings, supplier performance, and inventory levels.

Prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership.

A Few Things About You:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).

5+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or commodity management, preferably in a manufacturing or regulated industry.

Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in procurement systems (SAP, Oracle, Coupa, etc.).

Solid understanding of global supply chain dynamics and cost structures.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Preferred Skills:

Experience managing commodities such as electronics, plastics, metals, pharmaceuticals, or packaging materials.

APICS, CPSM, or similar supply chain certification.

Experience working with sustainability and ESG-related sourcing initiatives.
