We are currently seeking a Senior Designer to join our team in Sugar Land, TX.

What You'll Do

Lead and coordinate Instrument & Control System Design for Oil & Gas Refineries and Chemical Plants.

Work with 2D AutoCAD, Excel, and preferably MicroStation, CADWorx, BlueBeam, and Access.

Review and redline P&IDs, interlock schematics, and motor schematics.

Develop wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, demo packages, and I/O loading documentation.

Design Junction Boxes, Marshalling Panels, and DCS/PLC Cabinets with BOM.

Create instrument installation details and generate material take-offs for estimates.

Develop conduit and cable tray drawings, including support details and sizing calculations.

Provide low-voltage electrical design (120 VAC & 24 VDC power for instruments, instrument power panels, grounding, and bonding per NEC standards).

Conduct field surveys and assist with hot/cold cutovers.

Ensure all work aligns with safety policies, industry codes, and client standards.

Work independently while collaborating effectively with team members and clients.

What You Bring

Required:

5-10+ years of experience in Instrument & Control System Design for Oil & Gas and Chemical industries.

High proficiency in 2D AutoCAD and Excel.

Strong knowledge of instrumentation design, schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.

Ability to work in field environments and participate in cutover planning/execution.

Experience with fiber routing and general fiber optic knowledge.

Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Commitment to safety and quality in all aspects of work.

Preferred:

Experience with MicroStation, CADWorx, BlueBeam, and Access.

Familiarity with NEC codes and general electrical design.
