We are currently hiring for Class A CDL Driver in Madison!

Stevens Construction Corp. is a commercial general contractor with self-performed trades of concrete, carpentry, and prefabricated walls. We specialize in the new construction of commercial, multi-unit and mixed-use buildings.

The CDL Driver is a member of our Yard Operations and is responsible for making deliveries to construction site to the Madison, Milwaukee, Green Bay and occasionally the Minneapolis/St. Paul jobsites; in addition to assisting with all day-to-day yard operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Deliver, pick up, load, unload, and restock of construction equipment and material between the yard, jobsites, vendors, and other locations as instructed.

Deliver semi loads of bundled prefabricated wall panels and bulk lumber to and from Yard Operations and Jobsites.

Drive/Operate Semi Truck, Straight Truck, Pickup with trailer, Rough Terrain and Warehouse forklifts, Skid Steer Loaders, Concrete Trowel Machines, Power Buggies, Scissor and Boom Lifts.

Ensure that the day-to-day Yard activities are completed as required, as efficiently as possible while keeping the Yard Superintendent and Yard Foreman properly informed.

Assist with follow-up communication to ensure deliveries and pickups are completed on correct dates.

Fill out the required documentation and paperwork.

Become familiar with all equipment owned by SCC.

Understand, learn, and perform maintenance, repair, and cleaning procedures, as required for all equipment, tools, and supplies.

Strictly follow and enforce all jobsite safety requirements as defined by Stevens Construction Corp.'s Safety Program, OSHA, HAZCOM, and insight from our Safety Director.

Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

(with frequent travel to all jobsites)

Must have requirements:

Current Class A CDL.

Clean driving record.

Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment that requires multitasking while maintaining a high level of organization.

Ability to frequently lift/carry/push/pull 80lbs.
