Job Title: IT Client Technologies and Support Manager

Job Description:Trystar is seeking an IT Client Technologies and Support Manager with a relentless focus on delivering an exceptional computing experience for all employees. This individual must be both a champion of customer-centric IT support and an expert advocate for the Microsoft Modern Workplace (Office 365). The successful candidate will lead initiatives to proactively eliminate issues, continuously enhance user satisfaction, and drive the strategic adoption of modern productivity tools.

Core Objectives:

Flawless Employee Compute Experience

You will be the steward of our end-user technology experience. Your mission is not just to respond to tickets, but to anticipate needs, prevent issues, and ensure a seamless, ever-improving compute environment across the enterprise.

Microsoft Modern Workplace Evangelism

You will lead the promotion, support, and optimization of Microsoft Office 365 and related modern workplace technologies. Your focus will be on enabling adoption, staying current with innovations, and ensuring that every employee can fully leverage these tools to enhance collaboration and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:1. Customer-Centric Support Leadership

Foster a proactive support culture that seeks to eliminate recurring issues and streamline employee technology experiences.

Monitor trends, initiate root cause analysis, and drive solutions that reduce friction in users’ day-to-day tech interactions.

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing support team that prioritizes user satisfaction and experience excellence.2. Modern Workplace Enablement

Serve as the internal expert and advocate for the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Power Platform.

Drive user education, change management, and adoption strategies that ensure full utilization of Office 365 capabilities.

Monitor the Microsoft roadmap and lead implementation of new features, maximizing their business impact.3. End-User Device and Technology Management

Oversee lifecycle management for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, AV, and peripherals, ensuring optimal performance, standardization, and security.

Lead proactive maintenance strategies and drive reliability, especially in manufacturing environments.4. Operational Excellence

Run a highly effective IT service desk operation with a focus on SLA adherence, resolution quality, and feedback-driven improvement.

Embed ITIL practices to support process maturity and continual service improvement.5. Security and Compliance

Maintain a secure compute environment through strong endpoint controls, patch management, and compliance enforcement.

Coordinate with cybersecurity stakeholders to safeguard devices and user access.6. Vendor and Budget Management

Oversee procurement and vendor relationships for hardware, software, and services.

Maintain accountability for budget adherence and future resource planning

Job Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience.

Proven leadership in IT support and client technologies, with a track record of improving user satisfaction.

Deep expertise in the Microsoft Modern Workplace, including Office 365 services, administration, and adoption strategies.

Knowledge of ITIL frameworks, modern support tools, and endpoint management platforms.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to lead change and drive engagement.

Work environment:

This role may require after-hours or on-call support to address critical incidents.

Occasional travel to support multi-site operations.

Reports to: VP of Digital and IT

Location: Burnsville, MN or other company location.
