Why this job is important

The accountant role is essential in delivering operational Finance specialist services within a multifaceted and coordinated Finance function. Reporting to the Financial Accounting Lead, this role ensures processes are performed in accordance with performance and quality standards, contributing significantly to Kantar's financial integrity.

What you’ll be doing

Assist in maintenance, processing, and production of month/year-end close processes, balance sheet reconciliations, journals, and associated underlying schedules.

Support the preparation and review of period close entries, general ledger accounts reconciliation, and analysis.

Prepare monthly financial statements into the Kantar consolidation tool.

Support the production and review of balance sheets with collaborators.

Coordinate month-end and quarter-end reporting schedules.

Accountable for the quarterly review of account analysis.

Maintain knowledge management and documentation to ensure managers are well-informed.

Foster relationships with customer/partner teams to address needs, supervise service delivery, and resolve performance issues.

Develop sound professional working relationships with colleagues across KBS and Local Business, building their confidence and acquiring an understanding of the business.

The ideal skills & experience

Proven experience as an accountant.

Experience in producing year-end accounts and preparation for audit.

Proficient English speaker, accurately able to read and write English and communicate efficiently.

Ability to work in a changing and flexible organization.

Willingness to work flexibly across geographic time zones during peak periods such as period end.
