Onsite interpreter (English/Japanese)

Job Description

We are looking for bilingual Japanese/English speakers to help Japanese speakers with Limited English Proficiency (LEP) understand information and for English speakers to understand the training from our Japanese trainers in a manufacturing setting. This position is on-site and will require a flexible schedule and some overtime. Safety training will be provided and will be a focal point of our daily activities as all interpreters will be working on the manufacturing floor. Training in the technical aspects of the position will also be provided.

Responsibilities:

Interpret spoken language in real-time and/or consecutively, accurately conveying the meaning and tone of the speaker

Translate a variety of written documents, including but not limited to technical documents, diagrams, meeting minutes, and presentations

Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards of conduct

Support trainers on the floor of the manufacturing plant
