Plant Engineering Manager - Global CPG Company

In this role you are responsible for process improvement, technical systems & project implementation with financial control of plant engineering and MRO while leading a Maintenance Manager and maintenance team to continual improvement of plant maintenance metrics.

This position is located about an hour south of Atlanta. Relocation assistance is provided.

Responsibilities:

Works with corporate engineering, to lead local engineering and maintenance management in supporting automation, instrumentation, and controls

Works on new equipment installation, upgrades, and process optimization.

Interfaces with R&D, engineering, and production for technical solutions

Supports data systems, SCADA, PLCs, and tech troubleshooting

Drives projects to improve throughput, quality, and innovation

Goal: Improve system performance and support long-term technical strategy

Requirements:

BA/BS degree in Engineering strongly preferred

At least seven (7) years of experience in a manufacturing environment and engineering field in a maintenance capacity.

Demonstrated project and process management skills

At least five (5) years of leadership and management experience.

Demonstrated self-compliance with company policies and procedures.

Experience with 6S, A3 and other continuous improvement tools.

Six Sigma/Lean experience and certification strongly desired.
