We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Bookkeeper based in Washington, District of Columbia. In this role, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring financial data accuracy. Responsibilities:

• Safeguard financial information by completing database backups

• Keep track of all financial transactions by accurately recording them

• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy

• Employ QuickBooks for managing and processing financial data

• Regularly reconcile accounts payable and receivable

• Take charge of data entry tasks related to bookkeeping

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for managing data and creating reports

• Manage payroll operations ensuring accuracy and timeliness

• Oversee the month-end close process

• Collaborate with team members and liaise with vendors as necessary to resolve issues• Possess strong skills in Account Reconciliation, ensuring all financial transactions are accurate and up-to-date.

• Have a solid understanding and experience with Accounts Payable (AP) procedures, including invoice processing and payment.

• Proficient in handling Accounts Receivable (AR), including invoicing, collections, and revenue recognition.

• Experienced in performing Bank Reconciliations to verify the company's records align with bank statements.

• Proven track record in Bookkeeping, maintaining accurate and complete financial records.

• Capable of performing efficient Data Entry tasks, ensuring accuracy and speed.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, comfortable with functions, formulas, charts, and pivot tables.

• Experienced in Month End Close procedures, ensuring all financial data is recorded and reconciled for the monthly reporting period.

• Should have knowledge and experience in managing Payroll, including processing payments and understanding relevant tax laws.

• Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is required, demonstrating capability to handle digital accounting tasks.
