Position Overview:
OKSI is seeking a sharp and motivated Software Engineering Intern to support the development of real-time autonomy and perception software. You'll be contributing to mission-critical projects in areas such as unmanned systems, visual navigation, and target tracking—gaining hands-on experience with advanced algorithms and edge processors.
Responsibilities:
Develop, test, and optimize software in C++ and Python
Support the implementation of computer vision, AI/ML, and sensor fusion algorithms
Contribute to real-time embedded systems running on edge processors
Work on GPU acceleration and optimization where needed (CUDA)
Collaborate with senior engineers on internal tools and fieldable prototypes
Participate in code reviews, documentation, and testing
Required Qualifications:
Proficiency in C++ and Python
Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Robotics, or a related technical field
Strong analytical skills and an eagerness to learn
Must be eligible for U.S. Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with CUDA or GPU programming
Familiarity with Qualcomm Snapdragon or similar embedded/mobile processors
Background in computer vision, machine learning, or real-time data pipelines
Knowledge of Linux, Git, and software development best practices
