Superintendent - Commercial Construction Self Storage

Job Description

Local GC seeks seasoned Superintendent needed for new multi story 100,000SF self-storage in the Villages. Minimum of 3 years experience required in building Self Storage a must - others need not apply.

Compensation package to correlate with experience.

Qualifications:

• Extensive knowledge of commercial building methods and codes

• Ability to read drawings and specifications

• Attention to detail and independent problem solving abilities

• Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for dealing with subcontractors, architects and project managers

• Tactful and mature demeanor with well developed interpersonal skills including the ability to work well with diverse personalities.

• Utilization of a computer is essential to performing the duties of this position. Experience with Microsoft Office required.

• OSHA certification

• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle

Responsibilities

• Review, study, and interpret the plans, specifications and contracts as they relate to each individual trade involved in the construction of the project.

• Establish site objectives and schedules, acts as site representative and liaison with subcontractors, vendors, and monitors construction site activities throughout all phases of the project, per the Company policies.

• Responsible for site management activities include project schedule, RFI production, safety and daily written reporting, site general conditions cost, quality control, project final delivery and punch-out, per the Company policies.

• Responsible for the maintenance of organized job site, including office trailer. Manage subordinate staff, oversee the quality of construction, and ensure safety on the job site.

• Oversee and manage subcontractors for timely project completion, including scheduling and coordination of trades
