Low Voltage Installer

Job Description

Subtek Solutions is currently on the hunt for qualified Low Voltage Techs with experience performing installations in a commercial environment.

Low Voltage Technician Duties:

Cable install: Pulling, terminating, testing and labeling of Cat 5/6 structured cable.

Familiar with the install of all types of fiber optic, horizontal and backbone cables.

Capable of Installing pathway systems (cable trays, racks, J-hooks or D-rings).

Experience with the dressing and routing of cables for commercial MAC work install.

IDF/MDF Closet and equipment room buildouts, Rack & Stack

Experience in the install and termination of low-voltage end devices.

Ability to read, understand and follow blueprints.

OSHA 10 Certification - a plus

Low Voltage Technician Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years field experience

Basic familiarity with cabling in new or existing commercial projects.

Reliable transportation to and from work around the SD area.

Essential tools for the low voltage industry: Punch down tool, snips, wire strippers, cordless drill, 6 ladder, etc..

ALL PPE Gear: Hard Hat, Gloves, Safety Vest, Safety Glasses and work BOOTS
