As the Entertainment Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Entertainment department, playing an integral role in the success of our guests' overall cruise experiences. Your ability to compile and manage the entertainment schedule will be vital in exceeding guests' expectations and fostering the well-being of both guests and the entertainment team. Job Responsibilities

Oversee the daily operations of the entertainment department.

Compile information from onboard departments and shore offices to produce the ship's daily program, The Herald.

Manage entertainment and enrichment programming content on Seabourn Source, our onboard app.

Upload The Herald to the onboard IATV system.

Prepare, distribute, and follow up on the daily program draft with department heads.

Manage daily staff schedules.

Socialize with guests regularly.

Organize port duties schedule (IPM).

Order and maintain Cruise Office supplies through the ship's Provision Master.

Maintain supply and inventory of gift prizes.

Assist the Entertainment Director to ensure smooth execution of entertainment/enrichment events.

Compile the hosting schedule for the entertainment department and host tables as required.

Encourage and motivate the team daily, developing new and exciting activities/entertainment events.

Act as master of ceremonies for selected evening performances and daytime events.

Execute Seabourn HESS-MS appropriate to the position.

Prepare handover notes on time.

Place gangway signs throughout the ship before arrival in port.

Prepare welcome packs for new crew, guest entertainers, and lecturers/instructors.

Look after and communicate with guest entertainers, lecturers (Seabourn Conversationalists), and instructors throughout each cruise and assist with disembarkation.

Compile the dinner-hosting schedule for the onboard and visiting entertainment/enrichment team.

Assist the Destinations Team & Entertainment Director with tour dispatch (if needed) and greet guests on embarkation/disembarkation days. Qualifications

Education: Performance Degree/ Managerial Expertise

Experience: Similar work experience or promoted with within the Seabourn Team

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Good understanding of different styles of Entertainment.

Excellent writing /grammar proficiency

Good Technical knowledge of entertainment equipment.

Good show staging knowledge and a keen eye for entertainment value.

Ability to communicate with entertainers, musicians, and guest lecturers and an understanding of their performance needs.

Thorough and detailed knowledge of Seabourn and her management structure.

Excellent public speaking skills.

Immaculate appearance.

Recognition of guests by name. Physical Demands, Travel Requirements and Work Conditions

Physical Demands:

Maintain physical abilities for safety, including bending, climbing, repetitive motions, and heavy lifting. Physical fitness is essential for job tasks.

Travel Requirements:

Valid passport (minimum 6 months)

Flag state issued seaman book

General flag state or flag state approved marine fitness medical

United States C1/D visa

English Marlin test (minimum score of 80%)

Pre-employment medical examination

Work Conditions:

Working on a cruise ship involves longer and more intense hours due to constant guest demand. Flexibility in working hours is required, as they may change due to unforeseen circumstances, regulated by the Maritime Labour Convention of 2006. Adherence to the Master's standing orders and respect among crewmembers is essential due to close living quarters.
