Operating Room Nurse Manager (RN) - Loudoun ASC

Inova Loudoun Ambulatory Surgery Center is currently hiring an experienced Operating Room Nurse Manager (RN) who will be responsible for supervision of the OR and GI/Endo staff, as well as the delivery of quality patient care in compliance with local, state and federal regulations and accreditation standards.

WORK SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, day shift, no nights, weekends or holidays

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Supervise all surgical areas of care, ensuring the day-to-day operations are conducted in accordance with clinical practice standards and policies of the center

Ensure sufficient staffing daily, remain accessible to staff by providing breaks, ensuring coverage for meal breaks, late cases and staffing shortages

Supervise department personnel to ensure staff achieve their potential as members of an effective team

Recruit, interview, onboard, and train new staff members; monitor productivity and manage performance

Assess the staff's educational needs and implement a plan to meet these needs

Maintain an adequate inventory of drugs and medical supplies in the operating room and endoscopy suite areas

Maintain a collegial relationship with physicians and other ASC stakeholders to ensure quality patient care

Participate in and monitor quality improvement programs WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

Minimum of 3 years progressive work experience in an outpatient surgery setting or operating room in an acute care hospital, which reflects both clinical and management skills

Must be experienced with general OR and GI/Endo procedures

Experience with orthopedics (general and trauma), cataracts, ENT, urology, general, plastics and podiatry is vital

BSN or MSN desired

Current RN licensure in Virginia

Current BLS certification

Ability to oversee both Operating Room and GI/Endo
