Overview

We’re seeking a Payroll Analyst with extensive experience in payroll processing, Workday Payroll Configuration, and building & analyzing reports relating to pay. This role requires a high level of confidentiality, strong analytical skills, immaculate attention to detail, and in-depth knowledge of payroll processes from beginning to end.

You’ll support both day-to-day payroll operations as well as unique projects to support various business requests.

The Payroll Analyst is a fully onsite role in Columbus, Ohio. Remote work is not available.

Responsibilities

Identify process issues and find solutions - both triage fixes and long term solutions.

Create and analyze reports for payroll processing, troubleshooting and auditing.

Analyze data for setup issues.

Conduct semi-monthly, quarterly, and annual audits for various business cases.

Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement.

Configure, test, implement and document new processes for payroll.

Primary focus is the configuration of payroll items such as processing framework, earning and deduction codes, taxes, withholding orders, gl mapping, integrations, banking and settlement.

Understand how projects or changes within other departments may impact payroll and make configuration changes to ensure correct pay processing.

Collaborate with HR Tech or external consultants on Workday configuration fixes or enhancements as needed.

Stay current on emerging technologies, trends, and Workday Releases to identify opportunities and effectively implement changes.

Support day-to-day payroll operations.

Provide a high level of customer service to current and former team members relating to pay inquiries, requests for tax forms, etc.

Qualifications

5+ years of payroll experience and a strong understanding of pay calculations and payroll processes.

Experience with Workday preferred

Experience with ADP Smart Compliance preferred.

Strong ability to collaborate with other team members.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks.

Advanced Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets (preferred) skills required.
