Nonpareil is looking for compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurses to provide professional and compassionate care to those who are struggling with substation abuse and mental health.
Summary
The nursing staff is responsible for the day-to-day nursing services provided to all
patients admitted to the facility. This includes intake, assessment, vital signs,
suicide risk assessment, medication management, and general health care
education.
Responsibilities
Perform the client intake upon admission
Monitor patients’ condition and assess their needs
Complete a physical assessment of all patients upon admission or as needed
to assess skin integrity, markings, or signs and symptoms of disease or
issues.
Screen for psychoactive substance toxicity, intoxication, and withdrawal
symptoms.
Complete suicide risk assessment on all new admissions and as needed
during treatment.
Document all patient interactions and interventions in the medical record.
Observe and interpret patient’s symptoms and communicate them to providers
Collaborate with medical director, NP, and department leads to devise individualized care plans for patients
Perform COWS, CIWA, and other required assessments on clients during detoxification procedures and at designated intervals.
Formulate mutually agreed-upon, measurable treatment goals and objectives.
Adjust and administer patient’s medication and provide treatments according to physician’s orders
Inspect the facilities and maintain cleanliness according to company standards
Perform daily medication audits per standards
Other duties as required to address operational needs.
Qualifications
Valid and active LVN license
Valid Driver's License
knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
knowledge of emergency care
In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination etc.) and willingness to follow them at all times
Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills
One (1) year substance abuse or preferred, but not required
Valid CPR certification
