Description

Position Overview:

This role requires a proactive leader to manage operations across shipping/receiving and machine prep, ensuring efficiency, safety, and high-quality standards to support our North American dealer network.

Key Responsibilities:

Planning & Execution:

Collaborate with the Warehouse Operations Supervisor to develop and execute daily plans for shipping, receiving, and machine prep.

Verify incoming machines, manage inter-department transfers, and optimize warehouse layout for efficiency.

Ensure dealer orders are accurate, resolving discrepancies promptly with the Inside Sales team. Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain up-to-date records of shipping and receiving, including container and roll-on/roll-off shipments.

Ensure machine prep aligns with dealer orders and Bills of Lading.

Report discrepancies, mechanical issues, or quality concerns for resolution. Quality Control & Safety:

Enforce safety procedures and maintain a clean, safe workspace.

Inspect incoming machines for cosmetic and mechanical issues before prep or shipping.

Review all machine prep activities for accuracy and quality.

Conduct regular safety checks and uphold cleanliness standards. Leadership & Training:

Provide clear guidance and support to team members to optimize workflows.

Foster a collaborative environment for skill development and team success.

Train employees on policies, safety guidelines, and proper machine handling.

Evaluate team performance and implement best practices to improve productivity and reduce downtime. Qualifications

Physical Demands:

Moderate to heavy physical effort is required, including standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, climbing, and reaching.

Ability to safely operate warehouse machinery and handle machines without accommodations.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work for long periods in varying temperature conditions.

Some mechanical experience required to assess and troubleshoot minor issues with machinery. Skills and Abilities:

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage, motivate, and lead a diverse team.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical and logistical issues in a timely manner.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with team members and other departments.

Keen attention to detail, ensuring that all operations are performed with the highest standards of quality and safety.

Proficiency with basic hand and power tools, as well as warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-demand environment. Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required.

At least three years of experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment, including some supervisory or leadership experience.

Previous forklift operation experience and knowledge of shipping/receiving processes preferred.

Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and Adobe applications.

Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to inspect, evaluate, and resolve equipment issues.
