Provide technical leadership to operate a major asset at target regarding output, material usage, and energy consumption while meeting product specifications.
Establish a process of data collection, auditing, and preventive maintenance to quickly identify deviations and suggest corrective measures.
Apply RCCA analysis, 5 Whys, and the company's Solve-It method or Kepner-Tregoe and Six Sigma approach where needed.
Address improvements in process efficiency, product quality, and the cost of poor quality, leading process optimization.
Develop and tune process control architecture in collaboration with electrical engineers.
Collaborate with specialists to develop and implement process modeling systems for optimizing operational efficiency.
Regularly review raw material specifications based on performance analysis and adjust as necessary to drive performance improvement.
Perform continuous analysis to identify areas for improvement and corrective actions.
Develop standard control processes and standard operating procedures.
Define process set points for different product types and create associated management tools.
Support safety performance improvement by encouraging safe behaviors and engaging in safety culture enhancement.
Keep knowledge updated on the latest technologies for potential use in current and future processes.
Work with multiple operations/functions to identify process improvement opportunities.
Provide leadership for process redesign efforts during rebuilds or major investment projects.
Lead multiple projects and process optimizations in a manufacturing operation.
Provide on-site support during construction and startup to enhance in-plant resource capabilities.
Perform other related duties as assigned.Experience you will need: PHC Process Engineer II
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related science.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial continuous process manufacturing as a process, manufacturing, or product engineer, and 2 years of troubleshooting manufacturing processes.
Proven track record of identifying and implementing process improvements.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills, including complex data analysis.
Successful history of innovation and adaptability.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
Proven results orientation with the ability to lead key projects to successful completion.
Experience with DOE for process improvement.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Ability to interface at all levels of the organization, both internally and externally.
Supervises/leads individuals or a project team to achieve milestones and objectives by setting priorities and providing direction.
Ability to be on-call off-hours.
Travel required (15 or more days per year).
