Warehouse Manager

Job Description

Purpose:

Manages and supervises personnel and business activities of the Warehouse under guidance of the General Manager and Deputy General Manager. Responsible for overseeing all Warehouse functions including: receiving, storage, inventory control, pick pack, customer service, purchasing, P & L, budgeting, safety, and security, Coordinate with Sales, Operation Planning, Information Systems and Administration to ensure proper staffing and the ability to handle daily customer demand on a consistent basis.

Technical Duties:

Prepare and implement the functional target and plan based on branch/department target and plan.

Directs the efficient and cost-effective lay-out, organization and operation of the warehouse.

Manages inbound activities related to the receipt and storage of goods, inventory management and claims.

Manages outbound activities related to order filling, pick pack, stock replenishment and shipping.

Responsible for budgeting, customer service, facilities and equipment operation.

Administers overall inventory management, productivity, accuracy and loss prevention to ensure that customer requirements are met.

Ensures the security and safety of the personnel and facility.

Manage all personnel activities within the department.

Ensure all levels of the department are in compliance with company policies.

Hires, supervises, trains and manages performance of Warehouse employees.

Minimum Requirements, Education, and Experience:

Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Warehousing/Distribution and/or Business Administration.

Minimum of 3 to 5 years in Logistics and/or Business Administration.

Skills and Abilities:

Must be able to demonstrate effective leadership in managing warehouse.

Knowledge of material handling, warehouse operations and transportation systems.

Strong working knowledge of automated inventory control and warehouse management systems.

System knowledge of Rewards (WMS).
