Southeastern Tool & Die, a family owned manufacturer located in Aberdeen, NC, has immediate full time opportunities for 1st & 2nd Shift Laser Operators. This position requires a mechanically inclined, safety conscious individual who is eager to learn new skills. On the job training provided!

REQUIRED: High school diploma or GED. Ability to demonstrate technical knowledge including blueprint reading and use of common hand tools & measuring devices. Strong verbal and written communication. Must be able to work overtime.

QUALIFICATIONS: Must be a dependable, self-starter with high attention to detail, have a positive attitude with a willingness to learn; problem solving skills and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced work environment; ability to follow instructions & work independently; General computer skills are a PLUS.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Follow safe work practices & safety rules at all times. Monitors own work to ensure quality. Must be able to multi-task & plan daily work efficiently; set up and operate machines; check machines to ensure proper functioning; running machines, checking parts, troubleshooting & preparing for part changeovers; measuring equipment with accuracy to meet customer requirements; recording measurements & other information as part of our ISO9001 quality system requirements; maintaining a safe and clean work space.

SALARY: From $15.50 to $16.00 per hour

Schedule:

5:00am to 3:30pm

Monday to Thursday

The candidate will need to be able to be flexible and work weekends when necessary.

Experience:

Machine Operator: 1 year (Preferred, not required)
