Position Summary: MUST HAVE STEEL TUBE MILL OPERATING EXPERIENCE
We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Tube Mill Operator to join our growing team at a stable, well-established manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining tube mill equipment to produce high-quality steel tubing in accordance with production schedules and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate tube mill machines to form, weld, and cut steel tubing to specified dimensions.
Monitor equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation, including feeding raw material, adjusting rolls, and inspecting finished product.
Conduct routine quality checks using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensional accuracy and product integrity.
Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical or operational issues; escalate complex problems to maintenance or supervision.
Perform basic maintenance tasks such as tooling changes, roll changes, and mill adjustments.
Document production data, including quantities, measurements, and machine settings.
Ensure compliance with company safety policies and OSHA standards.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and assist in general housekeeping tasks.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (technical or vocational training preferred).
Minimum of 1-2 years experience operating tube mills or similar metal-forming equipment (entry-level candidates with strong mechanical aptitude may be considered).
Familiarity with micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools.
Ability to read and interpret work instructions, production orders, and blueprints.
Mechanically inclined with good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to work in a physically demanding manufacturing environment (lifting, standing, bending).
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
