Revere Electric Supply Company, a well-established electrical automation distributor and market leader, is seeking a Rockwell Automation PAC/HMI/Software Sales Engineer (SE) for the S.E. Wisconsin territory. A successful candidate will provide engineering sales support for the specification, selection, and sales of automation products to customers. The role is primarily a self-directed regional outside position, involving local travel to customers.

The SE will support the Corporate Strategic Business Plan and be required to have and maintain technical acumen to support related Business Unit (BU) products. They will have demonstrated technical, sales, commercial, and interpersonal skills, and the desire for personal and professional development.

Preferred skills, background, and / or experience:

Have core competency for the current technology as it relates PLC / PAC / HMI / IO / Networks and related software.

Ability to identify and demonstrate technology solutions for customer applications.

Ability to provide pre and post technical support for internal/external customers.

Ability to conduct training and seminars for customers driving interest in Revere solutions.

As well as the above, qualified candidate should an interest in developing or have the following experience and skills:

Ability to lead, motivate and support a distributor organization to proactively implement the business plan.

Strong presentation skills in a group and individual situations.

Ability to lead and coordinate the sales teaming efforts required to identify and close account conversion and project sales opportunities.

Promote the value-add of the assigned products in competitive situations.

Strong arbitration skills to effectively listen, communicate, and gain consensus.

Identify customer needs, propose solutions, and close orders for assigned products.

Identify and maintain competitive market knowledge.

Develop and execute strategies for market share growth.

Develop and support marketing, promotional, and commercial programs.

Effectively communicate commercial and technical product issues to Vendors.

Be a thought leader on Social Media platforms.

Qualifications / Requirements:

Four-year engineering/technical degree preferred. Technical associate degree or applicable experience considered.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Industrial Automation market.

Demonstrated knowledge & understanding of Automation standards and terminology.

Knowledge of control systems and computer technology.

Knowledge of Rockwell Automation Integrated Architecture is a plus.

Strong application knowledge.

Team-oriented individual who strives for customer satisfaction.

Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of an organization.

Proficient with Windows based operation systems and Microsoft Office Suite

Strong work ethic and self-motivated

Driver’s License and vehicle

Compensation $89,600 - $143,000 annually

This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, and skills.

For eligible positions, compensation may include participation in an incentive or sales compensation plan paid according to achievement against sales targets and/or business objectives.
