Job Description

SUMMARY: Serves as the primary support for the Director of QI & Nursing and clinical team for quality improvement (QI) related activities. Responsible for assisting with clinical data input, clinical data analysis, clinical data collection and informatics needed for UDS, Joint Commission, PCMH, and overall quality assurance / quality improvement activities. Responsible for assisting with training providers and staff and monitoring provider and employee compliance. Works to control infections and communicable diseases by serving as the organization’s Infection Control Officer.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduation from an accredited nursing school with a degree of Registered Nurse. Two (2) years’ experience in a health care or related setting preferred.

Licensed to practice nursing in the State of Florida.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Sensitivity in working with diverse cultural groups.

Ability to present ideas and recommendations clearly and concisely in writing and orally.

Ability to solve problems; solutions oriented.

Possess a strong ability to work independently, and as a team member with fellow co-workers, supervisors, and other staff.

Demonstrates flexibility in work schedule and job assignments.

General working knowledge of utilization management, performance improvement standards and procedures and NCQA Standards.

Strong computer skills required.
