Position: STEM-in-a-Box Differentiated Instruction Teacher Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Differentiated Instruction Teacher for our STEM-in-a-Box program. The ideal candidate will create and deliver engaging STEM lessons tailored to the diverse learning styles and needs of K-5 students. This role requires a strong background in differentiated instruction, classroom management, and relationship-building with students and families.

Key Responsibilities Instruction and Curriculum Development

Develop and implement differentiated STEM lesson plans aligned with students learning styles and abilities.

Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet the needs of all learners.

Integrate hands-on activities, science experiments, and real-world applications to enhance learning.

Organize and deliver engaging lessons in STEM subjects, including science, technology, engineering, and math.

Student Engagement and Classroom Management

Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.

Maintain direct supervision of students at all times to ensure safety and engagement.

Provide individualized support and redirection to maintain a productive learning environment.

Establish clear expectations and consistent routines to support student behavior and learning.

Collaboration and Communication

Build strong relationships with parents and families to foster trust and communication.

Collaborate with site staff to align instruction and student support strategies.

Provide guidance and training to Teacher Assistants as needed.

Participate in weekly and monthly staff meetings to share insights and best practices.

Assessment and Progress Monitoring

Evaluate student performance and progress through regular assessments.

Analyze assessment data to adjust instructional strategies and improve outcomes.

Develop individualized behavior modification programs when necessary.

Create quarterly student achievement reports and discuss progress with staff and parents.

Qualifications

Valid Florida Teacher Certification.

12 years of teaching experience, preferably in STEM or a related field.

Proven experience in differentiated instruction and student engagement.

Completion of the mandatory 40-hour Introductory Child-Care Training.

Clear Level 2 background screening.

Strong communication and organizational skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively with minimal supervision.

Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude toward student learning and growth.

High level of integrity, reliability, and professionalism.
