A Day in the Life of a Concrete Foreman

As a Concrete Foreman, youre the expert guiding your crew through the days concrete tasks. Youll:

Oversee concrete work including form setting, rebar tying, finishing, footings, retaining walls, and flatwork

Operate equipment and keep maintenance logs up to date

Uphold safety standards, ensuring all team members wear proper PPE

Read and interpret blueprints and specs to keep jobs on track

Mentor and train new crew members and foster a supportive team atmosphere

Collaborate with the Project Manager, Superintendent, and Concrete Supervisor

Monitor site progress, quality, and cleanlinessbecause customer satisfaction matters

Determine daily work schedules and communicate changes to clients and crews

What You Bring to the Table

Prior supervisory experience in a construction environment

Strong background in concrete forms, rebar, layout, setting and finishing

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Proven problem-solving and analytical abilities

Ability to read and interpret blueprints

CDL A endorsement preferred

General construction knowledge

At least 3+ years of hands-on concrete labor experience
